LiveMind is an online market place where students and teachers meet and people can learn virtually anything. We offer teachers the ability to make money sharing their passions with others, and provide students a broad array of courses and classes that can enhance their lives. All individual information provided is held confidential in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
The Information We Gather
LiveMindgathers personal information when individuals register to become either students or teachers, after registration we ask the users of our services to provide us with more personal information so that we can improve our services and, among other things, provide students recommendations for additional courses and help teachers determine what courses they may want to teach. To become a registered LiveMind user we ask that you fill out a registration form that gathers some personal information as well as sufficient financial information that will allow LiveMind to bill students and teachers for our services and to allow LiveMind to pay teachers for classes they teach. We ask for your email address, so that we can send you email notifications regarding classes you are teaching or taking, to send you offers and news about the Site and to send you offers from our third party partners. We ask for your physical address and credit card or paypal information so that we can collect fees you may owe us and so we can pay teachers for classes they teach. We ask for your phone number so that we can provide audio services for our live online classes and courses. We ask that you provide us your Social Security number if you are a teacher and you have earned an amount from teaching on LiveMind that we are required to report to the Federal government or any state government. All email contact from LiveMind will be sent to your primary email address that you gave to us upon registration.
LiveMind also collects information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by LiveMind. This information can include, but is snot limited to: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used by LiveMind for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the LiveMind Web site
All information, including personally identifiable information, you post on LiveMind in course materials, your teacher profiles(s), message boards and the community pages, including blogs, bulletins or chats with fellow community members, can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and the general public, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums.
Use of This Information
LiveMind collects and uses your personal information to operate the LiveMind Web site and deliver the services you have requested. LiveMind also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from LiveMind and its affiliates and third party partners. LiveMind may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

Digital Finger printing:
In general, digital fingerprinting technologies assign a unique identifier or “Machine-ID” to a user’s computer to identify and track the computer. LiveMind will not use digital fingerprinting technology (the “Technology”) to collect Personal Information, or track the online activities, of the user of a computer; and will not disrupt or interfere with the use or control of a computer or alter, modify or change the settings or functionality of a computer. LiveMind may use the Technology to assist LiveMind and its users and clients to ensure the integrity of the information provided by the users of our site. The Technology will analyze publicly available information and data obtained from the computer’s web browser and from other publicly available data points, including without limitation the technical settings of the computer, the characteristics of the computer, and the computer’s IP Address, to create a unique identifier assigned to the computer. The unique identifier will be an alpha-numeric id. After creating the unique identifier, LiveMind does not retain the information analyzed by the Technology to create the unique identifier. In furtherance of LiveMind’s efforts to ensure the integrity of the information provided by the users of our services, LiveMind (a) may link or associate your unique identifier to you and any of your Personal Information; (b) may share your unique identifier with LiveMind’s clients and with other website operators; and (c) may receive or obtain a unique identifier linked to you from a third party, including without limitation other website operators, users of our site or our third party partners. My Account Page/Update, Correct, Delete Information
We provide you with a My Account Page on our site; here you may correct or update your membership information or delete your membership. If you delete your membership, all your profile information will be permanently removed from our database, but may be stored in our disaster recovery databases, and in such circumstances will not be used for commercial purposes. Please note that in some cases it may take two to three business days for your information to be completely removed from our records. When you delete your LiveMind account all credits, accrued discounts or other benefits you have earned while a LiveMind members will be immediately forfeited. When you delete your LiveMind account, only your user profile information and personally identifiable information will be deleted. Other items such as your teacher profile(s), the class and course descriptions you have posted and other items such as community posts will not be deleted and will still be viewable by the users of our site.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the home page, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
